To my wonderful readers - I must share this beautiful letter I received from a sage old friend. It definitely speaks for itself - enjoy - RRF
dear riley--
it seems like just moments ago that i was 12 weeks old and coming to live with
my people. 12 1/2 years have passed, however, and it has been a good life.
while i was never the voracious reader that you are i did find myself quite
enthralled with gardening and had (& continue to have) a special likeness for
what my people call "pinks"...they are quite tasty and fun to pull from the
garden. although they are not weeds, they are quite abundant so i have been
fortunate that my female person has indulged me over the years for my love of
this special flower.
it seems as though i should be able to bestow some wise words to you in your
youth, but it appears you are managing (your people) quite nicely. my best
advice comes from a bumper sticker my person read that says, "play like a dog."
i think you have that down quite well!
one final thing (and here is the wisdom, but DO NOT let this go to your head!!!)
always remember dog is God spelled backwards and that has to stand for
something!!!
bon appetit!

Final thoughts from Riley - this post from this wonderful old man brought tears to my eyes and to the eyes of my person! However, I encouraged my person to wipe her tears and notice, in the closing, that Curry's person is teaching him French - she's going to Paris, ya know! Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks!! Woofee!

Absolutely adorable! Curry definitely is a sage old soul and a lucky dog to live with lucy. Great bumper sticker and great insight about God. Tune agrees wholeheartedly.
So glad to hear from you and Tune - yes, Curry is quite a guy. I've been hearing about him since I was a pup! RRF
dear riley--i was quite pleased to see my letter up this morning as i know your people have packed those bags full of clothes and driven away for awhile. (one little hint of wisdom from me...often the "other people" who come while they are away bring good treats and offer lots of nice walks and adventures...it's usually not so bad.)
also, (between you and me) my letter made my person get all mushy too. she started crying again when she saw it in print. i think our places are definitely secure in their hearts!!
c'est bon! curry
(p.s. i had to use "her" account, because i don't have my own...yet.)
Curry - Advice from a man of your age and distinction is so well received by Andy and me. We are doing fine but we'll never let our persons know!
